Swatch
This
We've just been engaged for
a very exciting print and TV ad campaign for Swiss based watch
giants, Swatch, where we'll choreograph, consult and provide
the services of our performance team. The stills photo shoot
takes place in London on the 9th of May with the action
filming starting in Prague, Czech Republic, on the 28th of May
through to June. The storyboard for the ad is without a doubt
the most original yet for anything ever filmed using Parkour/Freerun
and we really can't wait to roll up our sleeves to get stuck
in. |

Bahrain
Smashed
UF's Asid has just returned
to the UK after filming an advert in Bahrain. In his downtime
he managed to meet up with local practitioners and reports
that although the scene there is still very much in the early
stages of development, what they lack in terms of experience
is made up for with an abundance of enthusiasm and thirst for
knowledge.

Sponsorship Opps
With Neil and Pip moving
from the sponsored team into our core one, we are now actively
looking for replacements. The UF sponsorship offer is open to
all practitioners regardless of location. Applications should
be made via a video showreel of no longer than 2 mins and
include a spoken intro detailing name, age, location,
experience and a little bit of general info. We're obviously
looking for a high skill level but for us, a positive attitude
is equally as important. Please send showreels to

Our performance team have

tracked into the main team. Next stop with adidas will be
Spain in a few weeks time.... |

Our highly popular London

couple of weeks. In addition, we'll be launching a new Urbfit
training structure that we've just set up and registered.
It'll see a wealth of experience from Parkour/Freerun and the
military being pooled to deliver unique sessions across the
board, for everyone and anyone who wishes to participate. More

Shock
Value
UF athletes, Kie, Pip and Stoney
have been involved in a 3 day guerilla PR campaign in London
with Ken Livingstone and Boris Johnson. During the last day
they got to hang out with UK chat show host, Paul O'Grady (aka
Lilly Savage) who they persuaded to pull a shocker (the
'official' hand sign of Parkour) for the camera. Gotta love
the art of manipulation. All done in good nature but amusing
none the less.

On Friday the 2nd of May, UF

output in widescreen format.

GTA IV
The
29th of April marks the official release of Rockstar's latest
offering from their award winning GTA game series. In the new
GTA IV game you are able to perform basic Parkour moves and in
one particular level, you must chase down a foe by jumping
from a crane onto a building, rolling, getting up and
continuing the chase doing more of the same. Blatantly Parkour
inspired but still a nice tip of the hat to the discipline
from such a mainstream title. Available now on Xbox 360 and
PS3. |

Urbanathlon Event
Sunday the 13th of July will see
the Urbanathlon event being hosted at Sportcity in Manchester,
UK. The event is a 10K race where participants have to
negotiate a series of obstacles including wading through
mud-drenched fields, using death slides, running over cars,
striding through rivers and scrambling through a giant spiders
web. There will be over 1000 other participants but we
certainly think that a traceur/freerunner with a good level of
fitness, would stand a very good chance of placing highly or
possibly winning. Full details and entry forms can be found at

Blacked Out
This one has been a long time coming
but we are at last, ready to unveil 'Black Ops', the
latest edition of our U$F TV series. A real labour of love
that is a mix of Freerun, Parkour, lifestyle,
education, seriousness and a heavy dose of fun and randomness. Weighing in
at 416mb and being just under an hour long, its a hefty
download but over the next week or so, we'll be splitting it
up into chapters for our Youtube channel. We must point out that this
edition contains some strong language, vomit and a pebble
dashed toilet, so anyone who's easily offended should maybe
steer clear. Click here to download wmv version |

Confusion
The 8th of April
edition of the UK's Evening Standard ran a piece about UF
athlete, Chima Bowens, and a competition in Germany that he'll

mark in the sense that he was never interviewed by them and
has no intention of going to Germany this year. The original
interview was conducted by the Guardian newspaper following
him placing 2nd in the 'Parcouring World Championship' last
year, which was basically a timed obstacle course race. |

Renta Date
For Charity
Members of our team are
currently taking part in a project to raise awareness for
Brain Tumour charities in the UK. As part of a fun and unique
approach to dating, they'll be putting themselves up for
auction and will be featured in Elle magazine, who are fully
supporting the cause. The cause itself strikes a cord for us
as the uncle of one of our athletes, Jak Sheen, tragically
died from a brain tumour. Jak's mother, Katie Sheen, has
campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness and through the likes
of www.astrofund.org.uk
and
www.rentadateforcharity.com we are of course, proud to
help in any way possible. The athletes being featured (Sticky
and Livewire) are thinking that they'll be paired up with
beautiful young ladies, so we are urging as many of our gay
visitors as possible to place bids and seal the deal.

going to be announced within the next two weeks and will be
the most significant thing to happen in Urban Freeflow's
history. The second is still a month away from being realised,
but is equally as significant. Watch this space for some very
exciting developments.... |

Tough Guy
Challenge
Having been exposed to the
Endurance course at the Commando Training Centre in Devon and
loving every minute, we're currently in training for this
years Tough Guy
challenge. Set in 150 acres of countryside and being packed
with full-on physical tests, the Tough Guy challenge has
become renowned worldwide for being as hard as nails. As it
stands, Ez, Neil, Sean and Sticky will be donning the glyphs
to rep UF. We're also hoping to coax Ratty and Si on board
too. The idea was originally brought to our attention by
Biomech, who's proposing to assemble a team made up of UF
forum members. If this goes ahead as planned, we'll in all
likelihood, join forces and attack it head on as a bigger
unit. Proceeds from the event go to charity, so a bit of pain
mixed in with it being for a good cause made it a no-brainer
decision to enter. |

Incredible
Human Machine
Last year we shot an
ambitious piece with Dangerous Films titled 'Incredible Human
Machine', which is all about the human body and how amazingly
well it copes when put under stress. For our section, they
focused on the knee area and how all our muscles, fibres and
tendons cope with impacts from jumps etc. The piece has just
aired on the Discovery Channel and is fantastic. For those who
don't have access to Discovery, we'll be including the edit in
our up and coming Black
Ops video. |
