In a time where there are a number of high profile freerunner’s in the scene who rely on their reputations and expect everything to be served on a plate for them, it’s refreshing to see that there are gems out there with equal (if not more) amounts of skill just waiting to be found. Here in Cato Aspmo, we find a man from Sweden who possesses a strong level and displays elements of creative genius. With a little bit of polish, he’s going to be a major force to be reckoned with. April the 10th will see an event taking place in Singapore that incorporates elements of Parkour/Freerun. Titled ‘Urban Freestyle’, the event which is sponsored by Starhub is being pitched as a 6.5km fun run where there will be 9 main stations along the route with obstacles to tackle. From the website it’ll look a bit gash to purists within our scene, but if nothing else it looks like it’ll be a fun day and will raise awareness. We’d like to formally introduce 2 new designers on board in the form of Tzar and Ronel. Both of them are established artists within their field and are currently producing a selection of works that we’ll be unveiling over the coming months. The first design to be dropped will be titled ‘Warrior Spirit’ and celebrates the fact that through dedicated training in Parkour/Freerun, we all develop our own ‘armour’. More to follow….
International jet-setting seems to be where it’s at right now as we’re currently preparing to head over to France on the 19th, shortly followed by the Netherlands and then Russia. Somewhere in the mix we aim to get over to Canada and another trip to Beirut is looming too….
