Swatch This
We've just been engaged for a very exciting print and TV ad campaign for Swiss based watch giants, Swatch, where we'll choreograph, consult and provide the services of our performance team. The stills photo shoot takes place in London on the 9th of May with the action filming starting in Prague, Czech Republic, on the 28th of May through to June. The storyboard for the ad is without a doubt the most original yet for anything ever filmed using Parkour/Freerun and we really can't wait to roll up our sleeves to get stuck in.

Bahrain Smashed
UF's Asid has just returned to the UK after filming an advert in Bahrain. In his downtime he managed to meet up with local practitioners and reports that although the scene there is still very much in the early stages of development, what they lack in terms of experience is made up for with an abundance of enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge.

Mirror's Edge Footage
Mirror's Edge, the up and coming action/adventure release from Electronic Arts which features Parkour/Freerun, can now be checked out online by clicking here

Sponsorship Opps
With Neil and Pip moving from the sponsored team into our core one, we are now actively looking for replacements. The UF sponsorship offer is open to all practitioners regardless of location. Applications should be made via a video showreel of no longer than 2 mins and include a spoken intro detailing name, age, location, experience and a little bit of general info. We're obviously looking for a high skill level but for us, a positive attitude is equally as important. Please send showreels to sponsorship@urbanfreeflow.com

Fast Tracked In France
Our performance team have just triumphantly returned to the UK shores after delivering a dynamic display in France, on behalf of our sponsors, adidas. Sponsored athletes Pip and Neil found themselves thrown in at the deep end and have now earned their stripes to be fast tracked into the main team. Next stop with adidas will be Spain in a few weeks time....

Morning Is There To Be Broken
Last year we were involved in an advert for Relentless energy drink (Coca Cola) which stars UF athlete, Blue, and was shot in South Africa. Having just been officially released, it is currently getting major airplay in cinemas all across the UK Click here

Classes
Our highly popular London academy classes are set to return to normal within the next couple of weeks. In addition, we'll be launching a new Urbfit training structure that we've just set up and registered. It'll see a wealth of experience from Parkour/Freerun and the military being pooled to deliver unique sessions across the board, for everyone and anyone who wishes to participate. More news to follow....

Shock Value
UF athletes, Kie, Pip and Stoney have been involved in a 3 day guerilla PR campaign in London with Ken Livingstone and Boris Johnson. During the last day they got to hang out with UK chat show host, Paul O'Grady (aka Lilly Savage) who they persuaded to pull a shocker (the 'official' hand sign of Parkour) for the camera. Gotta love the art of manipulation. All done in good nature but amusing none the less. Click here for pic

Royal Marines Demo
On Sunday the 4th of May we'll be joining forces with the Royal Marine Commandos again, when we'll be performing a series of Parkour demonstrations and workshops at Exeter Rugby Ground, UK.

Panic Stations
On Friday the 2nd of May, UF athlete, Sticky, will be starring in a piece to be filmed for Panic TV. Due to the sizing of his head (which is now officially the largest in Parkour), we're hoping that they output in widescreen format.

Mexico Spotlight
Introducing a new video from the Urban Runners from Mexico. Directed by Daer, who incidentally, will be flying over for an international event to be staged in London this September. Click here

Metropolitan Police Workshops
We'll be running a series of academy sessions for the Metropolitan Police in June, at the Queens Park Community School in Kilburn, London. The sessions have come about after months of development between UF and the Met Police. More to follow....

The Appliance Of Science
New Core Level piece from Will Wayland about how the discipline has been picked up by the men in white coats. Click here

GTA IV
The 29th of April marks the official release of Rockstar's latest offering from their award winning GTA game series. In the new GTA IV game you are able to perform basic Parkour moves and in one particular level, you must chase down a foe by jumping from a crane onto a building, rolling, getting up and continuing the chase doing more of the same. Blatantly Parkour inspired but still a nice tip of the hat to the discipline from such a mainstream title. Available now on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Callout
We are currently looking for one high level French Freerunner to be involved in an international event in September. Applicants should please forward their showreels to WFC@urbanfreeflow.com

Guerilla's Back In the Midst
As of the 29th of April over a three day period, three athletes from UF will be taking part in a PR stunt in London that is sure to make it onto TV and in the newspapers. We won't give too much away now, but he first person to send in a photo of them doing the deed, will win a tee-shirt of their choice from our range.

Abs: Off The Ground
New mini piece from Sean Lerwill for our 'In At The Deep End' section. This time around the abs are focused on using off the ground drills. Click here

London Rinsed
UF athletes Livewire and Sticky have just completed a very cool photo shoot with Alex from www.distilennui.com who aside from shooting many stills, captured some hi-def super slow-mo video action sequences. Until everything is ready, here's a teaser shot of Livewire at Elephant & Castle doing his best to avoid the 'missles' from the pigeons overhead. Click here

Glyphitti Raid
Give a man half an idea, some krylon and a handful of stencils and shit gets tagged. A few pics by Blue from a recent throw up in London. Click here

HP Closure
We've just successfully completed work on the new Hewlett Packard advert and its shaping up to be a good one. We would like to extend a big thank you to the team from Publicismodem. More to follow as and when its ready....

The Tempest Team will be flying into London in September to hook up with a host of other high profile international athletes. Click here for video

Parkour Vision Designs Just Arrived
Our new Parkour Vision designs have just arrived earlier than anticipated and are now available via our online store

Urbanathlon Event
Sunday the 13th of July will see the Urbanathlon event being hosted at Sportcity in Manchester, UK. The event is a 10K race where participants have to negotiate a series of obstacles including wading through mud-drenched fields, using death slides, running over cars, striding through rivers and scrambling through a giant spiders web. There will be over 1000 other participants but we certainly think that a traceur/freerunner with a good level of fitness, would stand a very good chance of placing highly or possibly winning. Full details and entry forms can be found at www.urbanathlon.co.uk

HQ Earthquake
Since releasing Black Ops, our server has taken an absolute battering with over 9,000 downloads in the space of just 4 days. We'd like to extend a big thank you to everyone who has been in touch with their positive comments. For those still having problems downloading the 416mb file, a download accelerator found at http://www.speedbit.com will help to make life much easier. Over the next week or so, we'll be chopping Black Ops up and uploading it to our youtube channel in chapters. Until then, a few of the individual edits can be viewed there now. Click here

Urban Playground
Following the original success in Brighton during 2007 with performances at the European Indoor Athletics Championships and Dublin Fringe Festival, the UPG Team return following an extended period of training and development. Together with Charles Perriere and Malik Diouf, two of the founders of the Yamakasi and their organisation Gravity Style, the Urban Playground Team will be presenting their new performance at various festivals across the UK this spring and summer.

Supported by the British Council; the Arts Council of England, South East; the Brighton and Hove Arts Commission; Without Walls and Caravan.
Local groups of Traceurs are invited to get in touch and arrange time to use the UPG during these events. For further info, contact Buster at
prodigal@nightingaletheatre.co.uk

Quad Squad
Friday 25th of April will see us teaming up with Hewlett Packard to film a new commercial. It'll be the fourth time we've been engaged by them and things are set to be taken to another level (quite literally).

Bahrain
Our planned trip to Bahrain has been brought forward to the 1st of May. Once there, we'll be involved in a high tempo action sequence that has been in the planning staged for months now. It'll see us filming there for a week, with a number of historic sites being secured to provide the backdrop.

Blacked Out
This one has been a long time coming but we are at last, ready to unveil 'Black Ops', the latest edition of our U$F TV series. A real labour of love that is a mix of Freerun, Parkour, lifestyle, education, seriousness and a heavy dose of fun and randomness. Weighing in at 416mb and being just under an hour long, its a hefty download but over the next week or so, we'll be splitting it up into chapters for our Youtube channel. We must point out that this edition contains some strong language, vomit and a pebble dashed toilet, so anyone who's easily offended should maybe steer clear. Click here to download wmv version

Fitball Exercises
Here's another useful article from our resident expert, Sean Lerwill, focusing on abs and core stability exercises with the use of a fitball. Click here

Academy On Hold
After 2 years there, we've decided that we'll no longer be holding our Friday night sessions at Moberly sports centre. Within the next week or so we'll be announcing a new venue for the popular classes but until then, we'll only be holding small group classes and one on one sessions. For further information on how to book, please direct enquiries to Sticky@urbanfreeflow.com

Abs Burnout
With Freerun and Parkour, core stability is key when it comes to performing efficiently and effectively. So with this in mind, our very own urban commando, Sean Lerwill, has prepared a new piece with the abs area being the focal point. Click here

BBC London News Link
Here's a link to the BBC piece featuring UF athletes Chima and Stoney. It aired twice on UK national TV on Weds 16th April. Click here

Mexico Spotlight
Our good friends from www.monosurbanos.com in Mexico have just released this video starring Kat, the current leading light worldwide for female practitioners of the discipline. We last hooked up with her whilst in Mexico City to film the SAP advert and even then, it was clearly apparent that she was going to shine brightly. Kat's new video

Meet Your Navy
We are delighted to announce that from the 25th - 27th of July we'll be partnering the Royal Navy for their 'Meet Your Navy' event in Portsmouth, UK. This time around we'll be showcased in front of up to 70,000 people, where a selection of our athletes will be running demo's and workshops. More news to follow closer to the event. www.meetyournavy.co.uk

New Zealand Spotlight
The New Zealand scene is currently alive and kicking. To showcase a little bit of what's cooking over there, here are two videos featuring members from the Physical Graffiti team in action. Both were directed and edited by Shahir Daud. The Chase and Parkour Wellington

BBC London News
UF athletes Chima and Stoney will be appearing on BBC London News (BBC1) on the 16th of April, as part of a feature on Freerun. There are also rumours of an announcement being made about a bigger picture London based project.....

Equipo Primero
As soon as we return from our project with adidas in France, we'll be preparing our performance team to set off to Spain for more of the same. This particular trip will mark our tenth trip there to date and we're equally as excited about this one, as we were the first time we visited four years ago.

New Design
'Parkour Vision' is a term often used to explain the heightened sense of awareness to our surroundings, that comes from regular training and experience. Over time, areas that we'd once blindly walked through, all of a sudden become a huge playground to create movement. Our latest design is a celebration of this. Available in May. Click here for preview Pre-order your shirt or hoodie now. UF Online Store

On the 5th of May, we'll be flying our performance team over to France, where we'll be hooking up with our sponsors, adidas, to deliver a series of demo's.

Britain For Sport
We're currently involved in a very exciting film project with IMG Media for the British Tourist Authority, who are making a film called 'Britain For Sport'. Its being made to showcase a wide range of British sport to tourists, as their main promotional tool leading up to the 2012 Olympics. Once complete, it'll be shown in government offices, international airports, tourism exhibitions and conferences worldwide. In addition, it'll be showcased on all the major British tourism sites.

Birmingham Festival Launch
At the end of May, our performance team will be launching a 9 day festival in Birmingham, UK, on behalf of CABE (Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment) which promotes buildings and spaces - especially in the UK and in cities in general. One of their overall aims is to help people to look at their environment differently and to encourage and promote good modern architecture and public spaces. Aside from performances and workshops from us, the festival will include numerous activities for young people and families. There will be a wide range of different activities including a 'green' day for young people, debates, live music, performances and an outdoor cinema. More info can be found here - www.cabe.org.uk

BBC Exposure
Off the back of the Standard newspaper feature on him, UF's Chima has been lined up to appear on the BBC to discuss his teaching and performing exploits with us. As soon as we get TX dates, we'll post them here....

Stars And Stripes
The premier Parkour/Freerun team from the US - Team Tempest are currently busying themselves working on two feature films. Victor 'Showtime' Lopez is working on Mall Cops in the US, while Rich 'Dickie' King is filming in Berlin, Germany, where he's featuring as a ninja. In September, the Tempest foursome will be rocking into London in order to join up with us for a huge project of ours, where they will be flying the flag for the USA. Watch this space for further announcements....

Media Confusion
The 8th of April edition of the UK's Evening Standard ran a piece about UF athlete, Chima Bowens, and a competition in Germany that he'll be 'attending'. The information published is a little off the mark in the sense that he was never interviewed by them and has no intention of going to Germany this year. The original interview was conducted by the Guardian newspaper following him placing 2nd in the 'Parcouring World Championship' last year, which was basically a timed obstacle course race.

Callout For Polish Athletes
In addition to our recent announcement for athletes, we are now looking for 1 x high level freerunner from Poland to add to a growing pool of international talent, for a major event this year. Please email to WFC@urbanfreeflow.com for the attention of Suzanne. Travel documents must be up to date. Please also note that due to insurance restrictions, all applicants must be aged 17 years or over.

We can't yet reveal who our client is, but their forward thinking and creative edge has us very excited at the prospect of being involved in such a prestigious event.

Introducing www.parkour.kr a new website that's home to 'Team Real' and currently standing alone to represent South Korea. Here's welcoming them to the global network.

Web Links
Over the next week we'll be pruning our linked up page and getting rid of dead links to sites that are no longer up and running. Anyone wishing to have their site listed on the page should email us at links@urbanfreeflow.com Submissions should obviously be relevant to Parkour/Freerun.

More Air Miles
On the 21st of April things will really be hotting up when we'll be heading out to Bahrain in the Middle East, to choreograph and star in a full on action commercial.

Stealth Comp
We've got a pair of the exclusive all black adidas 'Traceur' trainers to give away. To stand a chance of winning them, simply post your name in this thread along with your guess at how long our Black Ops video will be in length. The first person to nail the exact time wins. Simple. For those wondering where the final edit is, we can only apologise for the delay. Bam is currently on filming duty until the 5th of April but once done, he'll be tidying up all loose ends. As soon as he gives the signal, we'll unleash the beast as soon as is physically possible. Watch this space....

Fresh Colours
With summer officially here at last, we've broadened the colour range for our tees. Click here for more....

Adiscape
Filming for the new adidas commercial has kicked off to a flying start with UF team members - Asid, Blue, Pip and Sticky tearing around London garmed up in the new adiscape range. They've also been sporting the very latest pro model Parkour/Freerun shoes, which are much lighter than the regular 'Traceur' shoes but have the same amazing grip. They've certainly gone down a storm with the guys. Video footage to follow....

They Come In Three's
Having choreographed and starred in their 'Tea Running' advert and performed live in Barcelona for one of their global conferences, we've again been commissioned to feature in a new commercial for Hewlett Packard. Filming begins in the second week of April and the setting this time will be the UK. In addition, our own Bam has been commissioned to shoot all the action.

On The Mend
The UK's Ryan Doyle, winner of the Art of Motion event in Austria, has been spending the last few months in rehab after his leg op. UAE Representing
Introducing the first Parkour/Freerun website catering for the United Arab Emirates. Still very much work in motion at the moment, but there are plans to turn it into an extensive resource over the coming months. Click here

This time around we'll be delivering a series of outdoor Parkour demonstrations and workshops in the south of England at one of their huge public open days. The event will be open to all and promises to be fun filled and action packed. We'll provide more info as the date draws nearer....

Decommissioned (Temporarily)
UF Team member, Molotov, has just had surgery on a broken hand brought about after a slight mishap in training. Even though he'll be out for up to six weeks, he's been amusing himself by taking pictures of his permanent 'shocker' pose (as pictured left). Here's wishing him a swift recovery.

Renta Date For Charity
Members of our team are currently taking part in a project to raise awareness for Brain Tumour charities in the UK. As part of a fun and unique approach to dating, they'll be putting themselves up for auction and will be featured in Elle magazine, who are fully supporting the cause. The cause itself strikes a cord for us as the uncle of one of our athletes, Jak Sheen, tragically died from a brain tumour. Jak's mother, Katie Sheen, has campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness and through the likes of www.astrofund.org.uk and www.rentadateforcharity.com we are of course, proud to help in any way possible. The athletes being featured (Sticky and Livewire) are thinking that they'll be paired up with beautiful young ladies, so we are urging as many of our gay visitors as possible to place bids and seal the deal.

:RUSH
Boris and Jack Thompson-Roylance have finally completed their independent film titled ':RUSH'. Starring UF team members Pip and Kie, here is the full version - :RUSH

Italian Job
At the end of April we'll be sending our team over to Riccione, Italy. Whilst there we'll be choreographing and performing an ambitious piece with the Jumpzone agency.

Touchdown
We've just returned from Queensland's Gold and Sunshine coasts, where some very exciting developments have just been put in place for 2008/2009 to cover Australasia. In addition, as we gear up to officially drop our big event announcement, we are now also sourcing Freerun athletes from Australia to come to the UK. As below, interested parties should forward an action showreel of no longer than 1 minute in length and include a short spoken introduction detailing name, age and experience. Please email to WFC@urbanfreeflow.com for the attention of Suzanne. For the athletes who've already been in touch from Canada, Brazil, Japan, Mexico and South Africa, many thanks. We'll be reviewing the reels over the next week and will be contacting everyone in due course.

Callout For Athletes
For an up and coming major event in London this year, we currently want to factor in the best Freerun athletes from these following countries - Canada, Brazil, Japan, Mexico and South Africa, to add to an already existing pool of international talent. Interested parties should please forward an all-action showreel of no longer than 1 minute in length and include a short spoken introduction detailing name, age and experience. Please email to WFC@urbanfreeflow.com for the attention of Suzanne. Travel documents must be up to date. Please also note that due to insurance restrictions, all applicants must be aged 17 years or over.

RIP
We're saddened to hear that Oscar Award winning film director, Anthony Minghella, has just passed away aged 54. We worked with Anthony on the 'Breaking & Entering' movie in 2005 and to this day, he has remained the friendliest, most open and supportive director we've ever had the pleasure to work with. He will be sorely missed.

Seek N Destroy
Every now and then someone will step up to the plate and totally kill all. Here we see Oleg Vorslav, dishing out a heavy dose of ownership that has already generated a huge buzz in the community. Props where they are due. Click here

Wales Flying
The Fluidity team in South Wales, UK, have recently been busying themselves by running the only available workshops in their country specifically for Freerun. Their efforts haven't gone by unnoticed, with the BBC and a host of local media publications running features on them. The weekly class can be found here: Fluidity - South Wales Freerunning, Torfaen Gymnastics Club, New Inn, Torfaen, Wales. Every Friday from 5 - 7pm. For further information, contact Fraz here - frazer_meek@hotmail,com

A Personal Thanks
Sticky has asked us to pass on his thanks to all the brothers from the 5 boroughs in New York, who stepped up to make his visit there such a special one. Great jams, fantastic vibe and as usual, plenty of laughs shared by all. Special thanks to Spike TV for getting everything organised.

Adiscape Shoot
At the end of March we'll be filming a new ad to help promote the soon to be released 'adiscape' range from adidas, which is inspired by Parkour/Freerun.

Sport Relief

Calm Before The Storm
With five full-on years of business under our belts, we've set two major goals for ourselves to concentrate on from here on in. The first is going to be announced within the next two weeks and will be the most significant thing to happen in Urban Freeflow's history. The second is still a month away from being realised, but is equally as significant. Watch this space for some very exciting developments....

Tough Guy Challenge
Having been exposed to the Endurance course at the Commando Training Centre in Devon and loving every minute, we're currently in training for this years Tough Guy challenge. Set in 150 acres of countryside and being packed with full-on physical tests, the Tough Guy challenge has become renowned worldwide for being as hard as nails. As it stands, Ez, Neil, Sean and Sticky will be donning the glyphs to rep UF. We're also hoping to coax Ratty and Si on board too. The idea was originally brought to our attention by Biomech, who's proposing to assemble a team made up of UF forum members. If this goes ahead as planned, we'll in all likelihood, join forces and attack it head on as a bigger unit. Proceeds from the event go to charity, so a bit of pain mixed in with it being for a good cause made it a no-brainer decision to enter.

Incredible Human Machine
Last year we shot an ambitious piece with Dangerous Films titled 'Incredible Human Machine', which is all about the human body and how amazingly well it copes when put under stress. For our section, they focused on the knee area and how all our muscles, fibres and tendons cope with impacts from jumps etc. The piece has just aired on the Discovery Channel and is fantastic. For those who don't have access to Discovery, we'll be including the edit in our up and coming Black Ops video.

Australia Bound
Monday the 10th of March sees the UF zeppelin touching down at the Gold Coast in Australia. While there we'll be meeting with TV execs and putting the finishing touches to a series of exciting projects....
