gaetanDuring the World Freerun Championships in August, Belgian competitor Gaëtan Bouillet of the famous Speeders team, landed awkwardly during his run in the finals. The result was major damage to his knee (cruciate ligament) which has sidelined him totally. He’s since undergone surgery and has been advised to expect to be out of action for up to a year while he goes through intensive rehabilitation work. Anyone who’s been injured before will be aware of how stifling it is to have your freedom of movement taken away, but we’ve had encouraging news saying that Gaëtan is currently preparing to start swimming and cycling as part of the rehab. We’ve just uploaded his latest video on Glyphmedia with his blessing. It shows a selection of footage of him moving before the injury and whilst we know he’s strong of mind, any positive messages of support aimed his way would be greatly appreciated. He is truly an inspirational character within the scene and we wish him a speedy return back to form. Click here for the video.
