Polysorb Insoles

A lot of people out there are unaware that dropping from height carries a real shock factor.  Even if you have correct fluid form when rolling and transferring the energy of a drop, you still need to ensure that your feet are well protected.  In most cases, you'll find that regular running trainers provide adequate cushioning.  But if you take the time to have a closer look and take out the standard insoles of the trainers you are using, you'll more than likely find that they are wafer thin, thus offering you almost zero.  Over time this will play a major roll in those niggling injuries that people so often complain about..."I love pk but my knees are sore...I don't understand....blah blah" ;)

With insoles, there are many different types available on the market but these 'Polysorb' insoles are ones that both myself and Bam have crash tested intensely over the last 6 months.  They are without a doubt perfect for the job and I personally make sure I wear them inside any shoes when out training.  Bam, who is well known for liking his big drops actually stated that these insoles gave him the confidence to add an extra 5 feet of height into his jumps without the fear of injury or discomfort.  Whether you will have the same results will all be down to your individual proficiency, but you will notice a huge difference when wearing these for sure.

Initially you'll notice a real spring in your step and when doing precisions or vaults, you will notice the comfort factor straight away.  But these babies really come into a world of their own when it comes to protecting the heel area.  This particular region of the foot is given more padding than the front and it is instantly noticeable.

In short, these insoles will provide you with ultra comfort and will offer the necessary protection needed for your day to day PK training without over doing it, and making you feel like you are running around on a bouncy castle.

Style - Robin hood green with a yellow underside.....Lovely colour scheme.  Only kidding.  All that matters is that they fit into your shoes and offer protection.  For style they get nil points. 0/5

Fit - Very snug and comfortable.  Offer great support to underside of foot and most importantly the heel area. 5/5

Grip - N/A

Shock resistance - Awesome!  No more to add to that. 5/5

Weight - Ultra light.  You won't notice them as additional weight at all. 5/5

Durability
- Should last forever.  Do start to smell a bit after intense PK training but no noticeable damage caused by putting them in washing machine.  5/5

Value - You can grab a pair of these for as little as £10.  Available in Sports Locker stores but also on the net.  5/5

Overall - In my opinion these are a must have item for anyone wishing to avoid the chances of knee/ankle injuries.  Of course you need to also have the right technique and follow warm up procedures to fully avoid injury, but in my case, these insoles have bailed me out of a couple of potentially nasty heel injury situations.  To sum them up I'll simply say that when PK-ing, these insoles go everywhere with me.  5/5
